1. Who operates MadeOrder

2. Data we process
MadeOrder processes the minimum Shopify data needed to provide its production-management functions. This can include the merchant shop domain, Shopify order and line-item identifiers, product and variant information fetched from Shopify, customization properties, workflow stages, production deadlines, internal merchant notes, and app settings.
MadeOrder does not intentionally store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, payment details, or card information. Shopify processes app subscription payments and does not provide MadeOrder with the merchant's full card details. Product and customization details are normally fetched from Shopify when the merchant uses the app; MadeOrder stores only the workflow data needed to manage production.
3. Why we process data
We process data to synchronize Shopify orders, display customized line items, calculate and manage production deadlines, assign workflow stages, generate production sheets, respond to privacy-law requests, provide support, maintain security, and improve reliability.
4. How data is protected
Traffic to MadeOrder is protected with HTTPS. Stored Shopify order and line-item identifiers, internal production notes, and privacy request reports are protected using application-level AES-256-GCM encryption when the production encryption key is configured. Database backups are encrypted separately before retention. Access is limited to authorized app processes and the merchant's authenticated Shopify admin users.
5. Retention and deletion
Completed production records are ordinarily retained for 180 days and are then deleted through scheduled cleanup. Records may be deleted earlier when required to process a valid privacy request. When the app is uninstalled, shop data is scheduled for deletion and is also deleted when Shopify sends the mandatory shop-redaction webhook.
6. Service providers
MadeOrder relies on Shopify for authentication and Shopify data, and on the app operator's secured hosting provider for application and database hosting. Service providers are used only as needed to operate and secure the app. MadeOrder does not sell customer or merchant data.
7. Privacy requests
MadeOrder supports Shopify's mandatory customer data-request, customer-redaction, and shop-redaction webhooks. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to easterstracy@gmail.com.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the app, law, or security practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
